Off Script is raising from 3KVC and Watertower Ventures to help creators launch their own curated marketplaces, and sell natively in their channels


Off Script, a Swedish startup, helping creators start their own ecommerce businesses has raised fresh funds to help creators launch their own curated marketplaces. After two years of experimenting, the Swedish start-up, now have their eyes set on helping creators building curated marketplaces where they can sell products they like, connected natively to their social channels. Their store, their checkout, their customers, but not their products. On Off Script, creators build curated stores where they sell products from multiple brands in one cart. 


“What Shopify has done for DTC brands, we want to do for multi-brand retail. It is way to hard to start an online retailer, and amazing brands are looking for better distribution. We have built the easiest way to start your own online retailer, ever.”


Off Script today has hundreds of DTC brands signed up, and are in the pilot phase with select creators, and agencies, as they are building out the product and the platform to cater to a decentralised commerce market. 


The investment is led by Watertower Ventures, with participation from 3KVC. 3KVC is led by the notable investor Shana Fisher, who has been an early investor in Pinterest, Stripe, and Notion to name a few.


“We will help creators sell their recommendations where their audience is - instead of driving it away from their channels. As a step in that, we are the first platform in the world to enable creators to access IG Shopping, to be able to tag products, and sell natively in their social channels.”


The focus for Off Script is now to grow on the US market, and they are going to do so by partnering with higher-tier agencies, and creators.
